The day aims at propagating the work of doctors and also to keep alive the memory of doctors who have devoted their lives doing social service. Why National Doctor’s Day is celebrated?
National Doctor’s Day is a day to appreciate and celebrate the work of doctors throughout the world. It is celebrated every year on 1st July. The idea of this celebration was conceived by Dr. Bindhan Chandra Roy, a physician and political leader who was also the chief minister of West Bengal. Dr. Bindhan Chandra Roy devoted his life to serving the underprivileged and the poor, so doctor’s day was celebrated to mark his birth anniversary on 1st July. SKS Public School which is also the top school in Asansol celebrates this day with great enthusiasm and fun.
How students send their wishes to doctors?
Students and teachers praised doctors who were working hard in rural areas, border areas, or government hospitals during the pandemic. Student’s appreciated doctors’ efforts by participating in different activities. Let’s have a look at the different activities!
